Prince Alfred has always been about more than just great beer and good times — we’re here for our community.

Since joining the Bright Brewery family in 2025, we’ve been inspired to carry on their tradition of giving back through the Community Keg.

At Bright, this initiative has already poured thousands of dollars back into local groups, and now we’re bringing it to Carlton. Each month, a keg is tapped and every dollar raised goes straight to a local cause nominated by you.

It’s a simple way to turn a pint into something bigger — supporting the people, clubs, and initiatives that make our community what it is.

This is just the beginning, but our commitment is clear: to be a pub that gives back, connects with locals, and celebrates community in everything we do!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Once a month, every month, we’ll throw a keg of our local draught on the bar for our Community Keg.

1. Grab your friends and family and head down to Prince Alfred Carlton from 5pm on the last Wednesday of every month!

2. Ask for a pot/schooner/pint from our Community Keg.

3. Instead of paying us for your beer, you make a donation to our nominated local beneficiary. Donate* as much as you like – it’s all for the community!

4. We will donate 100% of proceeds from the keg to the chosen group.

*Minimum donation applies.
